QUAD BASIC RATE INTERFACE (BRI) FRAMER
The Quad Basic Rate Interface (BRI) Framer MMC is a digital trunk interface that supports the direct connection of BRI trunks to the controller.
The Quad BRI Framer MMC has four ports, each supporting a digital link. LEDs on the faceplate indicate the status of each link. For a description of LED status and alarm indications.
Each port may be configured as either a:
- T (trunk) interface for links from a BRI Central Office
- S (subscriber) interface for connecting up to eight BRI devices to the controller
